There are plenty of amazing Batman titles that you should read but right now the latest revamp of the DC Comics line is pretty impressive. Most of the titles surrounding Batman have come to be some of my favorites of the relaunch. Here are my top 5 reasons why you should be reading Batman's New 52s. Just so you know, the New 52 trade paperback titles surrounding Batman that I will be discussing are Batman, Detective Comics, & Batman: Dark Knight.
5. You get to witness a new Penguin in town, the Emperor Penguin. With Oswald stuck in Blackgate Ignatius Oglvy sneaks up from second in command to the emperor.
4. It expands and includes Batman Inc. so you get to see characters like Nightwing, Robin, Red Robin, Batgirl, Huntress, etc.
3. You've heard about the conspiracy of the Illuminati, right? Well, Gotham has an actual secret society called the Court of the Owls and they have assassins.
2. You get to read what really happened to the Mad Hatter who, by the way, has one of the highest body counts of the New 52 series. And along the same theme Batman follows a sexy White Rabbit all through Gotham as she leaves a trail of villains pumped up on the new Venom.
1. Joker gets his face cut off by Dollmaker and he asked for it! Not like he deserved it, he literally asked Dollmaker to cut his face off. After he painfully had it removed he got it back from the GCPD, strapped it on, and continued to reek havoc on Gotham If this doesn't get you interested in reading the New 52 Batman series then that probably means that you are sane... A little dull in my opinion, but sane.
