Here it is folks! Paul Bettany as The Vision for the upcoming Avengers:Age of Ultron movie [First Showing]
Let's talk about The Vision, his first appearance was in 1968 in Avengers #57. He's an android created by Ultron, first believed to be made from the body of android Jim Hammond (the original Human Torch) and the brain of Wonder man. It was later revealed that Immortus (a time lord) split the original Human Torch into two entities, one of which was used to create Vision. He has been dismantled or torn apart quite a few times then put back together with different brain patterns and new bodies.
Despite the fact that Visions creator is one of the most destructive villains, Vision was actually one of the good guys. He joined the Avengers and even though Ultron would consistently control and gain information from him, Vision can usually find away to get back to his old self and help stop Ultron.
In the Age of Ultron story arc, Vision was once again taken over by Ultron from the future and is being used to control his army of Ultrons. The only other time Vision is brought up is when Wolverine and Sue Storm go to the past and are arguing about whether to kill Ultrons creator Hank Pym. Wolverine wants to kill Pym to stop Ultron from ever being created but Storm says that if Ultron isn't created then neither will Vision and all the good he has done will also be undone. This is something we probably won't see as they've gone a completely different way with Ultrons creator in the film and from what I've seen, they aren't even considering going to the past. Vision doesn't play a huge role in the AOU story arc, but I feel like they are going to make him a larger part of the movie.
What do you think about the new Vision photos? And if you've read the comic arc, what are your predictions for his role in the new Age of Ultron movie?
